Financial Assistance

Financial assistance may be available for some who would like to attend the AEESP 50th Anniversary Conference.

Small Travel Grants for Workshop

Small travel grants ($750 each) are available for AEESP members interested in participating in the half-day National Science Foundation graduate ethics education workshop entitled Bridging the Gap Between Engineers and Society: Learning to Listen to be held July 14th, 2013 in Golden, CO (as part of the 2013 AEESP 50th Anniversary Conference). Faculty and advanced graduate students are eligible for consideration.

To apply, e-mail a short statement to Yanna Lambrinidou (yanna@vt.edu) or Marc Edwards (edwardsm@vt.edu) on or before April 3, 2013. Your statement should include:

  1. Your AEESP membership status
  2. Your academic career status (e.g., graduate student, assistant professor, professor)
  3. A paragraph (3-5 sentences) indicating your level of interest and motivation to participate in the workshop
  4. Confirmation that if you receive financial assistance, you will participate in the entire half-day workshop

Recipients of the grants will be informed in early May 2013.

No Other Financial Assistance Available

No financial support is available for those persons making oral or poster presentations.
